Regimental Causes of Death 1812

Everyone knows that your chances of dying in combat were slim compared to your chances of dying of disease. Poor nutrition, bad sanitation and officers with no knowledge of the health needs of large bodies of troops guaranteed a high death toll. A number of officers in the New York area suffered from attacks of malaria!
