Raid on Elizabethtown, February 7, 1813

Leading 200 regulars, Major Benjamin Forsyth crosses the St. Lawrence River from Morristown, NY at 1AM to free the Americans taken in the Ogdensburg raid of 4 February. Forsyth's United States Rifle Regiment takes 50 British Troops and civilians prisoner for a loss on one wounded. The British also suffer one wounded man in the engagement.
